Who is eligible for enrollment?
Our members include adults suffering from memory impairment, those with chronic illnesses, those who desire socialization, those requiring assistance throughout the day for personal needs, and individuals with developmental disabilities.
How do we enroll?
Call, or email to schedule a complimentary admission assessment with a registered nurse. You and/or your family member will be invited to tour the center to get a feel for what we have to offer.
How many days per week must we enroll for?
To meet your needs we offer a flexible attendance schedule, however, we do have a minimum of 2 days per week, with a maximum of 5 days. All enrollment offerings are based on a full day schedule, however members may come and leave at any time that is convenient for them.
Is CarePro Adult Day Health Center a licensed center?
Yes, we are licensed by the Department of Public Health and MassHealth Office of Long Term Care. We are also active members of The Massachusetts Adult Day Service Association.
What is the fee for the adult day program?
Private pay fees are determined by the complexity of care that is required by the member. The fee will be determined at your initial assessment visit. We accept MassHealth, and Senior Care Options. We are also contracted with South Shore Elder Services, Old Colony Elder Services and the Veterans Administration. We also accept long term care insurance.
Do you provide medical services?
Yes, we are a medical based model Adult Day Program. We provide medical services that are ordered by the member’s physician. These services include blood pressure monitoring, blood glucose monitoring and insulin administration, oxygen levels, vital signs, nebulizer treatments, and many more. Nurses and Health Aides are available to help with any personal care required.
What is your absence policy?
We do charge for missed days for any reason (except hospitalization or weather related closures), however, you may make up the absence within a 2 week period. We request a one week notice of cancellation for anything other than illness.
Do you cater to dietary restrictions, if necessary?
We offer a light breakfast or morning snack, nutritious lunch, and afternoon snack. We provide special meals for any dietary restrictions. All offered meals are approved by a registered dietician. Members may also bring their own lunch if that works best for their needs.
Is your Center secure for participants who may wander?
Our Center is equipped with door alarms on every exit. In addition, our outdoor seating area is secured. We have a state-approved emergency plan in place to ensure further safety.
Do you provide transportation to and from your Center?
Yes, we have a handicap accessible van that can transport one way, both ways, or as needed. There is a fee for service.
Which holidays does your Center observe?
The Center is not open on the following holidays:
New Year's Day (January 1st)
Memorial Day (Last Monday in May)
Independence Day (July 4th)
Labor Day (1st Monday in September)
Thanksgiving Day (4th Thursday in November)
Christmas Eve & Day (December 24th & 25th)
How do you notify of inclement weather closings?
Please call our main number and a recording will let you know if we are closed. We are only closed if the recording states that we are closed. The recording will be left no later than 7AM.
Do you allow volunteers at the center?
We love to have volunteers at the center! For the safety of our participants we do require a CORI check on any employee or volunteer entering our Center. This form can be found at our office.
